THE BEUKELMAN'S // FILM

If you've checked in on my Personal Blog, you'll know that I shoot about 99.9% of my family on film. And other than a few frames at a wedding or two, I've never actually shot professionally (or have any intention of doing so) on film.

However lately, I've been needing an additional outlet for myself and my film work. And I realized, if I trust film to document the most important moments in MY life, why shouldn't I also document my closest friends and family on film too?!

So last week, after Joel and Erica Beukelman, some of our dearest friends, had their third baby boy, I headed out to their home in Costa Mesa to spend some time with them. I brought along a couple rolls of film and a subpar SLR (Nikon N90s)... and just photographed moments from the day. I loved how these images turned out so much, that I've since replaced this camera with a more suitable SLR, a Nikon F100.

Anywhoooozle... here is almost every image I shot that day.
